I meant to say I didn’t want to give your blog an ‘R’ rating, silly me. I think the nude female form is a thing of beauty, both functional in its physicality & pleasing to the senses. Dont know why people are so ‘prissy’ about nudity.

yes, well…I think the “G” rating went out the window with the appearance of two nudes.
“Quite prissy,” some folks are about this sort of affair.
Even the Thorntown Art Center won’t approve most nudes.

Yet another one this time it looks like a postage stamp. In the original, to the right ,my picture shows a nude Venus, except for some jewelery,the dog is there, two other women are in the background. perhaps her maids, one looks like she is kneeling & praying. The window or doorway looks as if it opens onto a terrace, where you can see a stone column, a terra cotta pot with a topiary shrub, a tree, perhaps an olive and beyond that it looks like the countryside & sky. The original was painted in 1538. These Venus’ & odalisques (concubines) did a lot of laying around on beds & day beds wouldn’t you say? I could tell you another very interesting fact about the Botticelli Venus but I don’t want to give this blog a G rating. Bet your interested now!

You’de be hard pressed tyo think….there is another one.
And, she’s not a nude. I think she is on a day couch, the dog is sitting at her feet, there’s a window in the background and there’s a reflection of something in the window.
